Educating EARS plc
EARS plc is proud to have recently extended our relationship with Benenden School, one of the leading girls’ boarding schools in Britain for the last 90 years. This beautiful school sits in 250 acres of attractive parkland in Kent and houses over 500 pupils.
EARS have been working with country estates around the UK as well as schools and local authorities since our inception and our particular knowledge of developing cost effective, safety-first, systems appealed to the school.
EARS started working with Beneden school in 2012, providing them with a small communication system which consisted of two Motorola DR3000 Digital Repeater Systems and a handful of digital Motorola radios. Since that time, Beneden has greatly extended their fleet and upgraded their handportables to the new Motorola SL4000e’s. These radios work perfectly for the school environment because of their easy to use functionality and compact size (comparable to size of mobile phone!) enabling them to be used by not only be of use to the maintenance and security teams, but also to the teachers, accommodation managers and all other staff who need to stay in contact around the school grounds
As security is the primary concern for all staff working at the school, these radios were recommended by EARS to ensure that the most technologically advanced security options were available to the Benenden. This radio in particular can be used in covert mode and is available for discrete operation. There is also an integrated man-down facility to ensure that staff are kept safe on the grounds at all times. Wi-Fi and indoor location tracking can also be used on this radio which is helpful for a site as vast as Beneden School.
We look forward to continuing our relationship with Benenden School.
