Edinburgh Fringe Festival
We are the proud supplier of communications equipment to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016.
The Edinburgh Fringe Festival or more simply known as ‘The Fringe’ is the ‘World’s Largest Arts Festival’ spanning back as far as 1947 and last year there was over 50,000 performers from 3,314 shows in 313 different venues.
The festival invites all budding entertainers to take to the stage to perform musicals, exhibitions, comedy, events, operas, spoken word and more. Many successful household names have launched their career from The Fringe – Rowan Atkinson, Jo Brand, Billy Connolly, Ben Elton and Eddie Izzard to name but a few. This year we were lucky to be entertained by English comedian and TV personality Al Murray. He is best known as the xenophobic publican ‘The Pub Landlord’ with his quick wit and intelligent humour.
This year Ears plc supplied 262 Motorola DP440 hand portables, earpieces and headsets & 3 Motorola Mototrbo Base Stations to keep the festival in touch and during the month prior to the event, our Technical Director arranged an Edinburgh site visit to ensure coverage of the town and surrounding locations, some of which were in basement venues.
All radios were programmed to integrate & communicate with local emergency services to help the ‘World’s Largest Arts Festival’ to run as smoothly and safely as possible.
